Grab the Torch

2nd August 2012

A day before the torch arrived in my part of the world, we went to the local BMW dealership to hold the object itself. Gloves donned, children briefed that if dropped there’d never be anymore pocket money.

A typically efficient Teutonic experience; chocolate medals given to children, pictures taken, beamed directly to printer and framed plus an image emailed to your inbox all before you could hand the torch to the next person. I must say it’s very light and the only thing that affects it’s beauty is that the holes allow you to see the mini butane canister nestled within.

A nice way of getting as many people as possible involved in the Olympic spirit (oh, and being exposed to the BMW brand…).

Was the dealership on a helicopter?

A great momento of the games though…
