Jamie’s Big Chair Project21st August 2012
As if Jamie Oliver hadn’t done enough already lately with the opening of his flagship Recipease store round the corner from the studio, new Union Jacks and Jamie’s Italians cropping up everywhere, his next book coming out next month ‘Jamie’s 15-Minute Meals’, designed here at Interstate and the Channel 4 series to go along. He is also celebrating the 10th anniversary of his restaurant chain, Fifteen.
To mark the occasion, fashion, art and design names have added their creative flair to 20 ANT chairs – donated by furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen – which are being auctioned off to raise funds for Jamie’s charity, the Better Food Foundation. Contributors include, Quentin Blake, Sarah Burton, Tracey Emin and Paul Smith. Jamie and David Loftus have also customised a Fritz Hansen Egg chair and footstool.
This exciting auction will take place on the 11th October and all are on display at Fritz Hansen until then, (13 Margaret Street, London W1W 8RN).
